I was saddened to hear of Toni Morrison’s passing on Monday. I am writing from my family’s farm in Montana and this quote, from her book Song of Solomon, is something I thought about during last night’s sunset walk. Toni Morrison was not only an incredible story teller, but a determined, hardworking woman and single mother. May we all do something kind today in remembrance of this strong woman who contributed such meaningful beauty to our world through her words. Thanks for everything.
