Killing Time in Namche Bazaar - Acclimatizing

A day trip during Namche rest day
EBC Trek Day 3: after yesterday’s monster of a climb, today was an acclimatization day. We took a morning walk up and over the hill behind Namche Bazaar and then dipped down into the beautiful village of Khumjung after stopping for a cup of tea at the Everest View Hotel. It was a gorgeous day and our hike felt relatively easy without our packs (although the air is thin up here whether or not you’ve got a pack on!) To safely acclimatize, we climb high (we gained about 400 meters in elevation on our morning walk) and sleep low, so tonight we’re back in Namche before we hit the trail again tomorrow.
